At King Pine, kids as young as 4 can learn to snowboard or ski.
Whether it’s your child’s first time on skis or their 50th, the instructors at King Pine can help them hone their skills and grow their confidence in the process. Since our children’s lessons are popular, we highly recommend reserving your lesson at least 48 hours in advance.
A Knee-Hi lesson offers the youngest skiers, four- to six-years of age, the chance to learn through fun, educational, engaging games and on-snow activities in small groups. This program is intended for first-time or beginner skiers and takes place on our surface lift learning terrain. Lessons are one hour in duration. Knee High lessons are available every Saturday and Sunday and on holidays. Participants require a season pass or surface lift ticket.
The program is appropriate for 4- to 6-year olds. King Pine may ask for proof of age. All participants must be able to manage the bathroom without assistance.
A valid lift ticket or season pass is required for every lesson. Guests should bring their own or rent equipment. It is best to book your lessons and rentals at least 48 hours in advance to ensure availability.
A Snowsports-specific helmet must be worn by all participants.
Lessons start promptly at their scheduled time. Lesson participants should meet at the Ski School meeting area ready to ski or ride 15 minutes prior to the scheduled lesson time. If the participant is renting equipment, it is recommended that they arrive at King Pine one-and-a-half hours prior to the scheduled lesson to allow sufficient time to pick up their tickets and rental gear. Our rental shop opens at 8:00am on weekends and holidays and 9:00am on weekdays. For guests renting equipment and with lessons starting at 9:00am on weekends, it is recommended that they should arrive at Rental when it opens.

Knee-Hi lessons are $75
Knee-Hi 3 session program $200 (3-day Rental Add-On $30)
The 3-Session Knee-Hi program offers our youngest skiers, four- to six years of age, the chance to learn through fun, educational, engaging games and on-snow activities in small groups. This program is intended for first-time or beginner skiers and takes place on our surface lift learning terrain. The program consists of 3 1-hour sessions which run over consecutive days during holiday weeks and over consecutive weekends during the season. Lessons run from 9:00 to 10:00 or 10:15 to 11:15 each day. Participants require a season pass or surface lift ticket.
Offered for age 4 and up and all ability levels, our private lessons provide one-on-one attention tailored to your specific needs.
Private lessons are sold by the hour and are available for ages 4 and older. Each private lesson can accommodate up to three people for an additional fee per person (up to two participants for ages 4 to 6).
For the best experience, it is strongly recommended that all participants in the lesson are of similar age and learning and physical capability.

Private lessons are $160, Two-person semi-privates are $256. Three-person semi-privates are $310.
Build your child’s or teen’s confidence and enjoyment of skiing or snowboarding! Whether it’s their first time on snow or you want to refine their skills on beginner terrain, we have a Group Lesson for them. Our friendly, trained instructors are committed to providing your child with a safe and fun experience.
This one-and-a-half-hour lesson is appropriate for first-timers through to beginner skiers or boarders. All group lessons take place on our surface lift, beginner terrain. Group lessons are $75
Designed exclusively for first-time skiers and snowboarders, this package includes a one-and-a-half hour Group lesson, rental and a surface lift ticket. The lesson is appropriate for participants that have never skied or boarded before -OR- a participant that skied or boarded a few times previously many years ago and needs a refresher from the very beginning. The lesson will include an introduction to the equipment, proper stance, how to glide and stop and how to initiate turning.
