King Pine Ambassador Program

What makes a "good" King Pine Ambassador?

The ideal candidate has a positive, upbeat attitude, a love for skiing and the great outdoors and has the desire to help guests to get the most out of their King Pine visit.

Additional requirements include:

  • Feeling comfortable approaching and conversing with strangers
  • Being approachable, friendly and outgoing
  • The ability to communicate information effectively
  • Knowledge of King Pine, Purity Spring and the surrounding area

What does an Ambassador get in return?

In addition to the satisfaction of helping others... you get to alpine ski/ride, XC ski, ice/nordic skate and snowshoe all season long!

As a King Pine ambassador, your hours will accumulate towards a Season Pass for you or a family member.

Ambassadors work toward "earning" a Season Pass and are required to work the appropriate amount of "5-hour shifts" to cover the "value" of each pass. Thus, the amount of "shifts" an Ambassador works is up to them.

How many hours does an Ambassador need to earn a Season Pass?

Each season pass has a pre-determined "value".

For example, an Ambassador interested in an "Adult Season Pass" needs to work 60 hours anytime during the 2007/08 season. These 60 hours come in the form of "5-hour shifts".

(For additional info on season pass "values", contact us for a brochure)

King Pine Ambassador "Shifts"
Each shift lasts for 5 hours. Shifts were created in order to cover the busiest times at the base lodge and on the trails. There will be times when the shifts overlap (weekend lunches), and there will be times when just one ambassador is needed.
